Oh boy, oh boy! What a fun record Adventures of the O.C. Supertones is to hear. Riding the third-wave ska fad gaining more and more popularity in the secular market, the Supertones cashed in in a big way with their debut record. With a sound akin to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Operation Ivy, the Orange County California boys splashed onto the scene in a big way. Brandon Ebel was hesitant to sign the Supertones because their former band Saved was so terrible. Thankfully, Ebel finally gave in to Jason Carson's begging and the band was signed -- a signing that may have saved the label just a couple of years later. "Adonai," "Who Can Be Against Me," and "Found" (with it's Back to the Future soundbite) are highlights on a quintessential album in T&N's history.
