#77. Dogwood
Building A Better Me

Release Date: October 10, 2000

The song "Building A Better Me" was the first I'd heard of Dogwood. Even though I'm not normally a huge fan of heavy punk, the song's mix of hardcore honesty and grit with catch mainstream punk melodies drew me in. The rest of the album follows suit, with Josh Kemble's raw, sandpapery vocals giving songs like "Comes Crashing" and "Mycro" passion that still packs a punch nearly 20 years later.
