#24. August Burns Red
Leveler
Release Date: June 21, 2011
 |
August Burns Red has grown quite a bit since their inception. They are fueled by an energetic live show that I can only hope they bring more of to their next album. They are a hardcore band that seem comfortable in their own skin and hopefully they keep it up.

I know it’s just personal biased, ABR being my favourite band, but I feel a little slighted that they’re only 24th on this list. Haha. Oh well, different strokes for different folks, I know it. But to me, a new ABR album coming into the world is like the invention of the wheel or getting a new family member. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating a tiny bit, but I am certainly incredibly pumped for another album from the metalcore giants. They’ve matured so much musically and publicly the last five years, but I still wouldn’t mind a little more Thrill Seeker vibe to creep back in. Shake it up a little more. In my mind, they’re one notch of chaotic away from a perfect band right now.
