When it comes to spiritually impacting records very few have reached the excellence of Oh Sleeper's Children of Fire. After a disappointingly mediocre departure with the Titan EP, and a three-year hiatus, the anticipation for a new record has risen substantially, and with a title such as Bloodied//Unbowed, it's bound to be an intense offering.

Dear Oh, Sleeper fans, I share your excitement and disbelief. After a less than inspired promotional campaign following 2013's crowd-funded The Titan EP, I, like many, thought we were witnessing the end of one of the most talented bands to cross the metalcore scene. Fortunately, that is not the case. With an admittedly vague release date of "Summer 2016," there may be no more enthusiastic party for Bloodied//Unbowed than the band themselves, and that is an encouraging sign.
