So, without further ado, we give you Highlighting Second-Half 2016! -- Please keep in mind that any artists that placed in the First Half (like Skillet, Paper Route and winner House of Heroes) won't be re-listed here!

#8. Wolves At The Gate

Release Date: Late 2016
Seeing as they have two solid full-lengths under their belt, you would be hard-pressed to call Wolves at the Gate a "new" band. Yet, the potential that is all but palpable across both of their albums underscores all the great work they have released to this date. To be sure, Wolves at the Gate are capable of a masterpiece. Perhaps 2016 is the year.

A metal favorite. These guys are versatile, sound amazing, and bring a sense of worship to a very aggressive style of music. VxV was killer and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us this time around. I'm expecting good things and one of this year's best metal releases from Wolves at The Gate.

Wolves at the Gate holds a special place in my music collection for introducing me to the incredible genre of metal. VxV and Captors have remained in heavy rotation due to the band's fantastic balance of metalcore and hard rock along with their unabashed approach to the Gospel. Where the band goes next is truly exciting.
