#10. Eisley
I'm Only Dreaming
Release Date: February 17

Eisley is one of those artists that just seems to get better and more intriguing with each release. I loved The Valley, but initially was underwhelmed by their follow-up, Currents. However, after revisiting it months later, it's become one of my favorite albums and I still listen to it regularly. Although the member lineup has gone through some significant changes recently, I'm still very much anticipating I'm Only Dreaming - in fact, it topped my personal list.

When we last heard from Eisley on Currents, they were in a much better place than they were back in The Valley. Based on the singles I've heard so far, Eisley's upcoming album I'm Only Dreaming sounds like the true sonic follow-up to The Valley--the gritty guitar riffs and darker tone have made a comeback. The difference? The perspective has changed. Life circumstances are good, but not without some hardships. In the songs they've released so far, Eisley has covered the trials of a committed relationship and the pros and cons of insomnia. I'm intrigued to see what other themes will surface on I'm Only Dreaming.

I only recently fell in love with Eisley's last album, Currents, but the band has been on my radar for many years. With a new line up, including Elle Puckett from Poema, I'm Only Dreaming will be a new endeavor, but no doubt a stellar one!
