Oh man, I've been waiting for Prop to weigh in on 2016! The Black Lives Matter movement, the crazy election season and more; Propaganda will no doubt have something to say about it all. Few artists (in any genre) have as far reaching an interest in the world as Mr. Jason Emmanuel Petty, and he no doubt will surprise us all by weighing in on something random, like education reform, drug sentencing guidelines or some other subject that we'll just have to wait to see. Working with Beautiful Eulogy has given Prop a unique sonic blueprint, and I count down the days till I can hear what he has to say next.

Propaganda is easily on of the most engaging acts in Christian hip hop today. Effortlessly blending poetic lyricism with well composed rhythm lines, Propoganda's unique mixture of spoken work and rap has captivated many in the music community. Following last year's standout release from label mate Sho Baraka, Propaganda's newest effort will surely be one of the most heralded albums of 2017.

While 2014's Crimson Cord didn't quite reach the brilliance of 2012's aptly titled Excellent, one would be hard-pressed to find an artist with a tighter grasp on heartfelt poetry than Propaganda. If a new album does fall this year, it's almost guaranteed to meet every expectation.

Spoken word, superior rhyming, thought-provoking, and not afraid to say the things that many fear to, Prop does something that is outside of the CHH box and I can't wait to see what his next album brings.

Let's be real: Prop's next album will be controversial. But when isn't he? Crimson Cord didn't hit as hard for me as Excellent and Art Ambidextrous, but I'm nonetheless looking forward to another thoughtful masterpiece from this man...
