#10. Chris Rice
untitled

Release Date: Late 2018
After spending over a decade wondering if the last had been heard from singer/songwriter Chris Rice, the wait is finally over. Few artists have had as much crossover success as Rice, whose storytelling abilities have resonated with diverse listeners for over twenty years. His upcoming partnership with Andrew Ripp will most decidedly be an interesting experimentation, and the excitement to hear what the duo have put together runs high.
        - David Craft

Chris Rice has always had an engaging way of telling compelling stories with his songs. His re-emergence on the scene after an eleven-year absence has me eager to hear what has been going on in his life. I gave an audible “yay!” when I saw the news that he was back. After hearing it was a duo project with his friend and fellow musician Andrew Ripp, I’m next level intrigued, and impatient to hear what he’s come up with.
        - Josh Balogh

No, Chris Rice is not my distant uncle - but I wouldn’t mind if he was. I’ve only recently really begun to delve deep (enough to dream?) into his music, even though I’d been meaning to do so for many many years (at least since watching music videos of “Billy Joe McGuffery” and “The Other Side Of The Radio” on the Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie DVD when I was a kid, which is also how I was introduced to the Newsboys). It will be fun to hear what’s in store after an eleven-year absence.
