You'd be hard pressed to find a more achingly gorgeous and melancholy masterpiece than Sixpence None the Richer's Self-Titled album. Yes, the ubiquitous earworm "Kiss Me" is on this album, and though it IS a great song, it's far from the best the album has to offer. "The Lines of My Earth," or the opening trio of songs, would be my pick. This one is among my all-time favorite albums and one I return to often.

I didn't fully "get" or appreciate Sixpence None the Richer until I saw them live on tour for this album in 1998. From then on, I've been a Sixpence believer. This album is a gift that keeps on giving, and undeniably a highlight of their catalog.
