I knew Blindside previously, but they never clicked like they did when
Silence released. Some were clamoring that they sold out, but I don't buy that. Sure, the recording was more polished sounding, but the aggression was still there. The album was seen as "more accessible," but there's also nothing wrong with trying to reach a larger audience. This is definitely one of the biggest and most important heavy albums in Christian music history.

Well, I think everything Michael describes the album as is just why this album won me over to the band in 2002. It was accessible and catchy for a heavy album with a hearty dose of screaming on it, but it also really displayed how great frontman Christian Lindskog's singing voice actually is. This is such a great rock record, and it still holds up well today. ("Sleepwalking" is still one of my favorite tracks here!)
