2025 is a tough one. On the one hand, Mission: Impossible came to a grand close (supposedly) with Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and it kind of vies pretty well for the top spot for me, but I think I ought to award the top pick to Predator: Badlands. It came as an absolute surprise of the year. It's a really fun underdog story that's entertaining and holds up with repeat viewings. Fans of the franchise (of which I do not consider myself) have complained it's more Star Wars than Predator, but that's probably why I liked it so much. So - while The Final Reckoning wins my top spot as a fan, I'd have to give it to Predator: Badlands for being a fun surprise... and to add a little variety to my JFH30 list.

Honorable Mentions: Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, obviously, but also Thunderbolts*, which really took me by surprise with how it addressed mental health. F1: The Movie was also an absolute blast on IMAX, too.
