Loud Harp wears the theme of their latest album, Hope Where There Was None, on its sleeve. Hope runs hard and fast through each song, beginning with "Mary Weeping" and ending with "Sew My Heart." This hope is carried on the fact that God is with us in Christ and will never leave us, as seen in songs like "Here With Me," "Immanuel" and "No Distance Anymore." Sonically, the album is in line with their previous efforts, building an ethereal background drenched in atmosphere reminiscent of The Choir. Though lyrically they never dive too deep, they manage to take repetition and normally cliché language (like imagery of floods and storms) and imbue them with a freshness that transcends their familiarity. With soothing music and uplifting words, Loud Harp produces another album worthy of consideration.
