Album: Intercede
Artist: Joebin

Verse 1
Say a prayer for me as I walk away
For you don’t know if I might die today.
I feel so old but my hair has yet to gray
I’m just so tired and I have nothing left to say

Chorus
But if God takes the lost,
Could He take me?
Could He take me?
The broken and worn,
Like the ones who placed the thorns upon His head?
Could He kiss the face of the disgraced?

Verse 2
Well I’m no good at accepting grace
So I’ll give into my will and just accept my fate
Please ask mom to intercede for me
She has some favor with Him and He might hear her plea

Verse 3
There’s no savior for the likes of me
I just can’t accept You, so please leave me be
Amazing Grace, I sang that every single week
But it’s only good if a man has real belief

Last Chorus
But if God takes the lost
Could He take me?
Could You take me?
The broken and worn,
Like the ones who placed the thorns upon His head
Could You kiss the face of the disgraced?
Could You kiss the face of the disgraced?
Would You kiss my face, I’m disgraced?
