Let the Thief Make Honest Work With His Hands cover
04. More Than a Fool
Album: Let the Thief Make Honest Work With His Hands
Artist: Andrew Michael Akins

Don’t forget me when you’re on your knees tonight
Pray forgiveness, I’m already out of sight
What is goodness if mercy is letting you know
How evil you are?
And don’t be bitter dear, it’s only a waste of time
Our days are getting shorter and shorter in this life
What is goodness if mercy is letting you know
How evil you are?
How evil you are

And I’m somber and strugglin’
I’m delivered and wanderin’
I’m light but I’m darkness too
Findin’ wisdom leaves me more than a fool

I’m forgotten by my sisters and brothers
Dishonest hands, I take from another
What is goodness if mercy is letting you know
The favor you lack?
Tired soul, I find other tired souls
We stay up late so we don’t have to be alone
What is goodness if mercy is letting you know
You can’t take it back
No, you can’t take it back

And I’m somber and strugglin’
I’m delivered and wanderin’
I’m light but I’m darkness too
Findin’ wisdom leaves me more than a fool

I’m somber and strugglin’
I’m delivered and wanderin’
I’m light but I’m darkness too
Findin’ wisdom leaves me
And I’m somber and strugglin’
I’m delivered and wanderin’
I’m light but I’m darkness too
Findin’ wisdom leaves me more than a fool
Oh, more than a fool
