Lost all taste for originality; stuck in a trance, misplaced morality
We all fall victim to the lies we’ve undergone
I see the future and the present; we follow regardless of who says it
Waiting for the light in our brains to turn on
Where is the equilibrium?
So inclined to over analyze, not overcome
When will we put up our defense?
Not stand aside, justified to put to death this pretense
Tonight we’re lost in the uneventful sea
Though the water’s calm, I know this isn’t where I should be
I caught a glimpse of the war I should be fighting
The fire inside is stirring, and in the midst, igniting
Forgotten foundations where this was built
Multiply the crowds and divide the guilt
Heresy thrives in our so called choice
Leave behind doctrine, thing of the past
Stray from the answers when you are asked
We’re prophets of our day, and we deny our voice
Where is the incorruptible? So strong long ago, so insusceptible
To ingrowth or infection, break away with me, reform with insurrection
Tolerance grows thinner but the need is still increasing
Truth has to be screamed in darkness, not whispered reasoning
This silent sickness is causing us to waste away
But we are too desensitized to signs of our decay
