Soft silhouettes and lights are all the distance holds. No sense of time nor tide, no knowing where to go. How far? How long? How much more can I go on? Will anyone know I’m gone? I am treading water, treading water, and there is not a single soul for miles. I am fighting to survive and every brea is just a consequential try. Echoes bounce off empty walls, the making of a hollow house. It’s been this way, since you’ve been gone. I’m just picking up the pieces off the ground, the peices of a home I thought was long lost. I am treading water, Treading Water, and there is not a single soul for miles (not a single heart beat) I am fighting to survive. Every breath is just a consequential try. And I’m gasping for air, with nobody there to hear me scream, your hand PLUNGES the depths, and lifts me to dry land where I don’t have to fear. Dropping down deeper than the depths. You have saved me from this mess, I can’t imagine a world without you now.
