Lord, be praised for Your power
Worthy to sit on the throne
Come the last and final hour
All will bow to you alone
Indeed a wond’rous plan composed
You’re the master of design
That only by your might exposed
Could love and justice intertwine
Oh Lord, be praised, be praised
Be praised, for all that You are
Lord be praised for Your Spirit
Our comfort in this life
The inheritance, that by it
We could be drawn to Your side
Going to God for us
When we cannot find the way
Acceptance in our weakness
And in this finding no shame
Oh Lord, be praised, be praised
Be praised, for all that You are
Lord be praised for Your mercy
For favor undeserved
Your forgiveness is clearly
A gift that remains unearned
The sun and moon that never fade
Remind us of a Father
Who does not turn His face away
When from His hand we wander
Oh Lord, be praised, be praised
Be praised, for all that You are
**Additional Lyrics**
Lord be praised for Your goodness
For blessings that abound
Your love revealing life’s fullness
The new in the old to be found
If ever a wonder has been
It’s gloriousness would be this
That even in light of our sin
Upon us, You shower goodness
Behind the Song:All That You Are came about late one night as I sat at our kitchen table. I tend to write songs primarily based on how I’m feeling and what I’m asking God for. In doing so, however, I usually get tripped up trying to find the words to describe the details of my circumstances. I really wanted to get away from this pattern and write a song that simply praised God. Doing this felt completely out of my league at first, but as I shifted my eyes off of myself and onto Him, the praises came so quickly! Whereas normally I struggle to find words when I write, this song actually has extra verses that had to be because it was too long…
