Fallen, broken before I took a breath
One breath, black eye
Bruised up and beaten in my soul, my soul
I'm wanting to give this up
So can you tell me
I'm not over, I'm not finished yet
I've got a ways to go, I'll be alright
But when it comes down to that moment
When my dreams have lost their way
At the end of the night, I'll be alright
Damaged, hurting because the pain is real
So real, dirty
Wounded and weary in my soul, my soul
And I really have to give this up
So can you tell me
I'm not over. I'm not finished yet
I've got a ways to go, I'll be alright
When it comes down to that moment
Where my dreams have lost their way
At the end of the night, I'll be alright
I'm wanting to give in
But I really have to give this up
I'm not over, I'm not finished yet
I've got a ways to go, I'll be alright
When it comes down to that moment
Where my dreams have lost their way
I'll be alright, I'll be alright
I'm not over, I'm not finished yet
I've got a ways to go, I'll be alright
When it comes down to that moment
Where my dreams have lost their way
I'll be alright, I'll be alright

Behind the Song:"It's comforting to know that we will be alright.
This record needed a song that looked down on our story from 10,000 feet in the air, rather than right on the ground, as is usually the case with songs. It’s important every now and then to take the time to look at the bigger picture at hand. With most of these songs being born and brought to life while we’ve been down in the valley, there’s a need to recognize not only where we’ve come from, but where we’re going. Both are pretty easy for us to write about, because as people of faith we see in scripture the truth of the past and the future. We gather that we come to the world as a broken people in need of redemption and restoration. And we see that because the story we are living is much bigger than just a little ole us, what is held for the future is hard to understand, but much to be at peace about. Most of all, it’s comforting to know that in the end, we will be alright. After all, if He is for us, then who can be against us?" - Rush of Fools
