The Popular Tween Group Also Recording New Christmas Project This Summer

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) May 20, 2008 – Fervent Records popular tween group, pureNRG, released their sophomore project, Here We Go Again, on April 29th and the brand new CD debuted at No. 2 on the SoundScan Christian/Gospel Christian Retail chart last week (May 7, 2008). At the same time, the album also landed in the Top 10 Christian Albums at iTunes.

“Everyone at Fervent is so excited about pureNRG and the positive message they are bringing to kids,” says Susan Riley, Word Label Group’s Senior Vice-President of A&R and Publishing. “We are honored to work with them and thrilled that their fanbase continues to grow with each project.”

pureNRG has already been working on its first Christmas project that will release this September. “We love Christmas and Christmas music so we’re totally excited about going into the studio to work on our first holiday record,” says the group, adding, “It should be fun to sing Christmas songs in the middle of the summer!”

In late June, pureNRG will be heading to Birmingham, AL to shoot two new music videos, one for the title track of the new CD, “Here We Go Again” and “Like.” Jon and Andy Irwin will be producing.

pureNRG, who were the top-selling new artist at CBA retail last year, had the honor of being presenters for the first-time at this year’s 39th Annual Dove Awards show. They presented three awards including one to sixstepsrecords artist David Crowder Band.

It’s going to be a busy summer of touring for pureNRG with their high-octane performances. They are scheduled to appear at both at both Creation Northeast 08 and Creation Northwest 08 music festivals, along with an appearance at Spirit West Coast. The group is featured this month on the cover of Brio, will have an August feature in ParentLife magazine, and will be on the cover of the October issue of Clubhouse.
