Mike Farris INO Records’ Mike Farris brought Bonnaroo its “gospel shakedown” on June 13th as his “ ‘Salvation In Lights‘ gospel songs got things feeling like a fiery Sunday service, feet stomping, arms waving, voices calling back to the stage,” describes The Tennessean and also reprinted in USA Today. Farris appeared alongside more than 100 other legendary artists including all music genres at the world famous music festival in Manchester, TN last weekend performing in front of hundreds of crazed music fanatics.

Americana Honors and Awards has nominated Farris as New/Emerging Artist of the year. The two-hour Americana Music Association Honors and Awards event will be broadcast live on XM Satellite Radio on September 18 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and rebroadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio and BBC2 Radio.

Farris also continues to provide family fun entertainment to a full house every Sunday evening starting at 7PM at Station Inn in downtown Nashville for Sunday Night Shout.

Farris’ tune “I’m Gonna Get There” will be featured on the new iTunes/Creation NW and NE email sampler and download card, which will be distributed to Creation’s 1.3 million registered member email database prior to the festival.

“He holds the vocal clarity and power your R&B sirens aim for, but as Farris wriggles through expressive runs, his voice darting from a throaty growl to a clear howl, it comes off far more like a natural outpouring of energy than a preening display.”-Nicole Keiper, The Tennessean
