The FREE TO LIVE Tour is sponsored by Children's HopeChest, an international orphan care organization that empowers orphans to overcome poverty, abandonment and violence. As part of the worship event, Desperation Band, Andrews and HopeChest CEO Tom Davis will present the opportunity for audience members to become part of the movement to protect orphans and vulnerable children from sex trafficking and extreme poverty.

"We enjoy a freedom in Christ that conceives in us a compassion and desire to bring freedom to others," says Desperation Band songwriter/vocalist Jon Egan. "We are rescued to rescue, redeemed to redeem. We can bring freedom to children, and that is the essential mission of the FREE TO LIVE Tour. We will embark on the tour with great expectations for powerful worship experiences in every city we visit, and we're grateful that Meredith Andrews has agreed to bring her talent and heart along for the ride!"

"Children's HopeChest is proud to align with artists of such integrity as Desperation Band and Meredith Andrews and we applaud their personal commitment to the issues so important to our organization. We know this tour will bring hope to many children around the globe," said Tom Davis, CEO of Children's HopeChest.

About Desperation Band/Jon Egan: Jon Egan is the leader and prolific songwriter for Desperation Band (www.desperationband.com), which was birthed out of the student ministries of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His songs include "Yahweh," "Overcome," "I Am Free," "My Savior Lives," "Rescue" and "Here In Your Presence," just to name a few. The band's songs are sung in churches throughout America and around the world. They continue to lead worship at New Life Church, as well as at the annual Desperation Conferences and at concerts and events around the globe. Their latest album, Light Up The World, was inspired by "Heartwork," a student-driven ministry that is helping to build orphan homes in Africa. Today, dBand is completely committed to fighting injustice and poverty around the world.

About Meredith Andrews: Meredith Andrews' (www.meredithandrews.com) 2008 Word Records debut, The Invitation, featuring her insightful songs and engaging voice, made her one of the Christian music community's most acclaimed new artists. Songs like "You're Not Alone" saturated Christian radio and Andrews found herself touring with the likes of Michael W. Smith, Aaron Shust and Brandon Heath. She is sure to continue generating buzz and new fans with her just released sophomore project As Long As It Takes. A native of Wilson, N.C., she began singing in church when she was only six, and by the time she was in high school, she was writing songs and leading worship. Andrews went on to attend Liberty University, majoring in family and child development and along the way found a heart for missions, which took her to Haiti and India and all the way back to Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago where she became worship leader. Heavily influenced by new experiences and by the people she's met along the way, her body of work combines the power and passion of her amazing vocals with her heart for God and the people He places in her path.

About Children's HopeChest: Children's HopeChest (www.hopechest.org) is led by Tom Davis, speaker and author of "Fields of the Fatherless," "Red Letters," "Scared" and "Priceless." HopeChest empowers orphaned and vulnerable children to overcome poverty, abandonment and violence through the love of Christ by connecting Christian communities in the U.S. and Canada with impoverished communities of orphans overseas. This unique "community-to-community" sponsorship leverages the power of one community of Christians making a long-term, transformational impact on a community of orphans and vulnerable children. Ultimately, these relationships and resources empower orphans to survive, thrive and succeed within their home culture. HopeChest partners primarily with churches, businesses and Christian communities such as blogs, online groups, book clubs and small groups. These sponsoring communities are providing physical help, educational training, and Christian discipleship for over 10,000 orphans. HopeChest has over 100 active partnerships in Russia, Swaziland, South Africa, Ethiopia, Uganda, Haiti, Guatemala, Moldova and India.
