Nashville, Tenn. Jun. 14, 2011… The highly anticipated sophomore album from Owl City, All Things Bright and Beautiful, is proving to be another hit with media as it hits retailers today. All Things Bright and Beautiful is currently No. 2 at iTunes ®. Produced by Owl City’s Adam Young, the record offers 12 new songs, and is a complimentary follow-up to Owl City’s platinum-selling debut, Ocean Eyes.

Below is just a sampling of what critics have to say about All Things Bright and Beautiful

“Young’s gotten sharper lyrically and brought some new influences into his musical world.” – Newsday

“His synesthetic synth-pop offers more than mere ear candy: Young's eternally optimistic view of the world revels in paradox, embracing even tragedy as a path to happiness.” – USA Today

All Things Bright and Beautiful, is amongst the year’s most anticipated and Young doesn’t disappoint with this electro-pop odyssey that also explores R&B, power pop and spiritual informed songwriting (including a co-write with Relient K’s Matthew Thiessen).” –

“Owl City is one of the best things pop radio has going for it, and I would venture to say that All Things Bright and Beautiful will take the position of 2011's best pop album. If Owl City had you at Ocean Eyes, he'll most likely make permanent residence in your heart when you get your hands on a copy of All Things Bright and Beautiful.” –, five out of five stars

“Topping the astronomical success of the platinum Ocean Eyes album won’t be easy, but Owl City figurehead Adam Young packed All Things Bright and Beautiful with enough innovation that it stands a strong change” – CCM Magazine

“These dozen songs should be fine companions for the near future. All is right with Owl City’s world and I doubt I’m the only one that will rejoice over this.” – HM Magazine

“His optimism and faith shine right through, making this new project one you’ll want to add to your collection.” –

All Things Bright and Beautiful is easily the best alternative music album of the year. I love that this album is chock-full of optimistic messages wrapped around some incredibly hooky beats and dance floor tempos. If you liked Ocean Eyes, you’ll be thrilled by All Things Bright and Beautiful.” –

“His sprightly tunes—like sparklers in the summertime—light up the things in the dark.” –

“If you liked Owl City before, you’ll love this album.” – Group magazine (May/June issue)

Owl City’s latest radio single “Galaxies” rocketed from No. 19 to No. 9 on the CHR charts last week earning it a spot in the Top 10 for two weeks in a row.

In support of the new album, Owl City kicked off a headline tour with openers Mat Kearney and Unwed Sailor last night at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. The tour will be making stops nationwide through the end of July. Click here to obtain the most up to date information about Owl City’s “All Things Bright and Beautiful” tour.

About Owl City:
Owl City’s Adam Young, an unassuming 24 year-old Midwesterner, catapulted onto the music scene with the blockbuster success of Owl City’s major-label debut album — the lush, lovingly created Ocean Eyes, which was released by Universal Republic Records in July 2009. Filled with whimsical melodies and blissful beats that Young conjured up alone in the basement of his parents’ home in Owatonna, Ocean Eyes topped the Billboard Rock, Alternative, and Dance/Electronic charts and was certified gold or platinum in nine countries, including platinum in the U.S. The album spawned the quadruple-platinum first single “Fireflies,” which was a No. 1 smash hit in 24 countries including the U.S. (where it hit the top spot twice), and sold more than four million downloads. Its eye-popping success has made Owl City an international phenomenon, selling nearly 12 million tracks worldwide and amassing an impressive touring record, including support stints with Maroon 5 and John Mayer, and sold-out headlining tours in which Young, backed by a five-piece band, performed for besotted fans in the U.S., Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. Owl City released the highly anticipated follow-up, All Things Bright and Beautiful, on June 14.
