
SEATTLE, Wa –August 31, 2011- Last week Tooth & Nail new artist Icon For Hire released their debut Scripted to much acclaim including being featured as the iTunes Discovery Download. Icon For Hire’s debut broke the record for albums sold during a street week for a Tooth & Nail new artist. They sold more than 4,300 units landing at No. 1 on the Soundscan Christian Rock chart, No. 7 on the Christian overall chart and debuted in the Top 100 on the Billboard Top 200. Scripted also debuted on the iTunes Rock chart at No. 4 and on the overall iTunes chart at No. 19.
This October, Icon For Hire will be touring with GRAMMY-nominated RED, Brian “Head” Welch. The tour will begin on October 7th and end on the 26th. The dates are below.
Since 2007, the band has been establishing their strong following by touring extensively across the Mid-West. From the beginning, the band has written music with a positive view without downplaying the hardships in life. The heavy alternative rock/modern pop trio released, Scripted, with a buzz surrounding the debut. With this release, the band has nabbed attention from iTunes, MySpace, Guitarworld, J-14 and more.
