Nashville, Tenn. (August 27, 2013) - Today, three-time GRAMMY® nominee Mandisa releases Overcomer to an outpouring of acclaim as she readies to perform the project's No. 1 single and title track on Good Morning America (GMA) this Thursday, August 29th. The song "Overcomer" is an extension of the impactful message Mandisa has brought to her fans with previous hits, an anthem that there is hope in the midst of life's battles. The track peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes® Christian Singles Chart and is No. 1 on AC Indicator. Additionally, the song is Top 5 on the National Christian Audience chart with over 7.2 million in audience, further solidifying The Hollywood Reporter's christening of Mandisa as one of the Top 5 Idols with the most Billboard chart-toppers.

Mandisa's third appearance on GMA, the nations highest rated morning program, follows a week long promo tour with a multi-city radio promo tour including Governor Mike Huckabee's national program, WPOZ Orlando, KTIS Minneapolis and the KLOVE Network. Following this, Mandisa embarks on a New York press run including stops at ABC Radio, Ladies Home Journal, Fox News, WOR Radio and more. Last week USA Today premiered a track from Overcomer along with a Q&A while Keep the Faith radio's 1.7 million listeners heard Mandisa share her heart behind Overcomer and FuseNews included the project in their weekly new release feature.

Overcomer comes over two years since the release of her critically revered and best selling GRAMMY®-nominated record What If We Were Real. Produced by Christopher Stevens and David Garcia, Overcomer continues to showcase the former American Idol finalists powerful vocals and pop-leaning hooks that blend effortlessly through all 11 tracks.

With praise continuing to pour in for Overcomer, here's just a sampling of what critics are saying:

"Overcomer is loaded with positive grace-filled messages of hope from someone who has struggled with the pressures of life." - New Release Tuesday

"As an anthemic project, this one soars…Mandisa's strong and powerful vocal launches songs like, "The Distance" and "Overcomer" to great heights. She shows even more vocal prowess and dexterity on, "Dear John," which was a refreshing change from the all-powerhouse vocal she normally delivers. Overall, an encouraging and hopeful project." - CCM Magazine

"Overcomer speaks about a simple yet equally profound theme and topic if we understand and grasp hold of- that we are already Overcomers…what we can accomplish will be much more than we'll know or even imagine." - Indie Vision Music

"Mandisa has returned with one of her most indispensable record of her career. The songs are bold, fresh, heartfelt, encouraging and Christ's centered." - Breathecast

"Overcomer is bound to shine on a release day stacked with healthy competition." - Christian Music Zine

"[Overcomer] is far and away her most consistently engaging offering to date." - Jesus Freak Hideout

"Overcomer speaks a message of truth that all need to hear." - CMAddict

This fall, Mandisa will once again embark on six-time GRAMMY® winner TobyMac's acclaimed "Hits Deep Tour." Joining Mandisa on the tour, which kicks off Nov. 7, are Brandon Heath, Jamie Grace, Colton Dixon, Chris August and Capital Kings.
