With the recent announcement (and subsequent delay after Warner Bros. decided not to continue distributing it) of Hillsong's own musical theatrical venture, it shouldn't come as a surprise for one of the world's largest tours to get in on the theatrical action. Fathom Events is a common avenue for music and dramatic stage productions to grace the big screen, and according to website Celebration! Cinema, it appears that This Is Winter Jam is slated to grace the silver screen on Thursday, October 8, 2015.
The description for the film reads, "Fathom Events and Word Entertainment are partnering to show the most attended and enduring music tour in history like never before with This is Winter Jam. Phenomenal live performances by favorite Christian artists, including Skillet, Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli, For King & Country, Building 429, Family Force 5, NewSong and more, combine with documentary style behind-the-scenes interviews allowing fans a deeper immersion into the ministry heartbeat of Winter Jam and fresh backstage perspective and appreciation of their favorite tour. Don’t miss an unprecedented insider’s look at life on the road on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at 7:00pm Local."
This Is Winter Jam reportedly has a running time of 135 Minutes. Visit this link for more info, as well as the film's listing on Fandago, and we'll post any official announcements as we get word of them.
