SEATTLE, WASH (SEPTEMBER 1, 2015) - Last week, BEC Recordings artist, Ghost Ship, released their second full length studio album, Costly. This is the band's follow up project to their label debut in 2013 with The Good King.
With a season of hardships and growth throughout the past two years, the experience is evident throughout Costly, revealing lyrics focused on the reality of God's love. Various media outlets have already captured the lyrical message and praising the Americana Folk group's sound.
"Overall, Costly is one of the albums that 2015 needs to bring it out of its musical slump. The instrumentation is rich, the lyrics doctrinally and introspectively deep, and the production is fantastic." - JesusFreakHideout.com
"Costly rises to offer easy access points for those needing a message of Christ's hope through song. There's a simplistic beauty of work here, leaving much room for spiritual communication." - CCM Magazine
"Ghost Ship is able to employ the folk sounds without it feeling over the top, utilizing it to create joyful and earnest worship tunes that set them apart from most recent worship releases." - NewReleaseToday.com
"A distinctive of Ghost Ship is the focus they put on pointing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and Costly does not deviate from the one bit throughout all 14 of their tracks." - TheChurchCollective.com
