Singer/songwriter JJ Heller Releases Poignant Rendition of Mary Poppins Returns "The Place Where Lost Things Go"

Nashville, Tenn. (Feb. 25, 2019) - In case you missed Bette Midler's heartwarming performance of the Oscar nominated tune from Mary Poppins Returns, which earned a standing ovation at last night's 91st Academy Awards, singer/songwriter JJ Heller has released a wistful rendering of the beloved "The Place Where Lost Things Go," available now.

"When I heard Mary Poppins sing her lullaby to the children, comforting them as they miss their mom who died about a year earlier, the scene made me cry as I watched in the theater," said Heller. "It’s an absolutely beautiful song and I knew I had to make my own version!"

Heller began releasing monthly singles in Apr. 2017 that together have amassed over 10 million combined streams to date. The songstress will continue to announce a brand-new song on the first Friday of each month in 2019.

Heller’s latest full-length project, I Dream Of You (Vol. II) appeals to parent and child alike. Comprised of timeless covers and lullabies, the 15-song collection contains songs from the 50’s through today including favorites like “Here Comes the Sun,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Edelweiss” and more, along with three brand-new originals. Birthed out of Heller’s own desire as a mother of two, the project, deemed "medicinal music" by fans, crosses generational boundaries with messages of truth, hope and love woven throughout each track.

For over 15 years, Nashville-based independent singer/songwriter JJ Heller has traveled the country sharing music full-time with her husband, Dave Heller, who also co-writes, plays guitar, and provides witty banter from the stage.
