The Gospel Music Association (GMA) today announced the final nominees for the Dove Award for
Songwriter of the Year, to be presented at the 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The nominees are Steven Curtis Chapman,
Natalie Grant, Brandon Heath, Jason Ingram and Tony Wood. The recipient of the Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year will be named
during the awards show on April 23rd at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The show is scheduled for live broadcast on the Gospel

After having released the two-album project last May, Anorexia and Nervosa, Showbread is already hard at work
on their next project, tentatively titled The Fear Of God. Here is the band's announcement...
"We are writing a new album that will be recorded in April, 2009.
Writing is almost finished, studio rehearsals/rewriting begins a week from today. during that time there will
be daily updates as well as live video streaming...
After 22 years and more than 2000 shows, newsboys frontman Peter Furler will
no longer front the band in concert. Michael Tait will be touring with the band as lead singer with Peter
making special appearances throughout the year.
Peter will continue with the band and his trademark songwriting and production will remain as he focuses his professional
career toward future newsboys recordings...
Pillar has announced the start of a brand new album, their follow-up to the 2008 two-time Dove nominated For The Love
Of The Game. This will be the band's first album since original member Michael Wittig and drummer Lester Estelle left the band.
