Can you tell me why
We all run from the hurt inside?
There's no need to cry
Dry your eyes and take a breath
It's life or death
Can you tell me what you're waiting for?
If you lose it all
And it just won't feel the same
In the fight to carry on
You stand and face the rain
And as you watch it fall
You learn to live again
It isn't all that bad
When you're still standing in the end
Give this one more try
Take my hand and let your heart decide
Hold your head up high
Close your eyes and take a breath
It's life or death
Can you tell me what you're waiting for?
If you lose it all
And it just won't feel the same
In the fight to carry on
You stand and face the rain
And as you watch it fall
You learn to live again
It isn't all that bad
When you're still standing in the end
And all the voices cry out
They pull you up tear you down
Then that One voice
Whispers your name again
If you lose it all
And it just won't feel the same
In the fight to carry on
You stand and face the rain
And as you watch it fall
You learn to live again
It isn't all that bad
When you're still standing in the end
Behind the Song:'Noah had been working on the music for this awhile, and to me it was one of those really pretty, epic songs. The bottom line lyrically is: No matter how hard it is, no matter what it is you're going through, or how bad the storm is, you're still standing in the end. You can make it through whatever it is you're going through. Another perspective you can see from the lyrics is that when you lose all of yourself, give up yourself for the pursuit of Christ, then you're truly left standing victorious in the end. Losing yourself gives you more to gain.'--Rob Beckley (
