Top 15 One-Album Wonders

As music fans, we hear a lot of new music all the time from promising new artists. Some national debut albums really leave a mark on us, getting us pumped for the artist's career ahead. Sadly, some of these artists never even make it to album number two before they stop making music, break up, or just disappear.

This list is a countdown of our top 15 "One-Album Wonders" -- bands that released just one album before disappearing from the map for one reason or another -- leaving us to wonder what could have been with album number 2.

#14. The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room

Release Year: 2009

2009 was a great year for Christian music, but some good albums, for no apparent reason, just came and went without any fanfare. The Drawing Room's self-titled debut is a perfect example. Although created as side project by Thousand Foot Krutch's Joel Bruyere, the indie rock album failed to leave an impression. However, the organic blend of rhythmic beats and catchy refrains with some folk leanings warranted serious interest. Maybe fans of the TFK were expecting daring guitar riffs and displays of big bass but were put off by The Drawing Room's slower, more experimental songs. Either way, after The Drawing Room's release, the artist was never heard from again, but TFK certainly made a splash later in the year. In the end, the album's highlight, "Keys (The Liaison)," is still a worthy addition to most playlists.
