Known for driving beats over melodic drones and intentional lyrics, Stavesacre had already become a mainstay by the time this album came out in 1999. Oh, how “Gold and Silver” can tug. It surges like a wave and ebbs all day and comes crashing in the night to bust through the mundane, making you take notice. “Keep Waiting.” This song, still in rotation, from note one tells you it has something to say. Play it on your drive to a fest, windows down, letting your hair fly. Will you meet God this weekend at the fest? Will you find yourself letting go in a mosh pit of spiritual elation? This song makes you think it will all happen! Time keeps chugging on but then the stops and the pauses remind you to trust in Him.
- Leanor Till from the bands Five Iron Frenzy and The Fast Feeling
