#5. Hawk Nelson
Hawk Nelson Is My Friend
Release Date: April 1
|
The punk rock quartet known as Hawk Nelson is back after two years of extensive touring and are ready to release
their third full-length album, Hawk Nelson Is My Friend. Both previous albums have acclaimed numerous
praises and success and only time will tell if Hawk Nelson's newest record proves to be the best yet....

With two solid full length releases under their belt, I'm getting used to the fact that Hawk Nelson is going to be
one of those bands that will be labeled "one of the best" when it comes to punk music. While I doubt that they
will ever release another album to the caliber of Letter's To the President, they will continue to make
great music. Can't wait for this one!

Hawk's debut may have seemed like a "Christian" version of several similar pop/punk band, but it was one of
the first times the style was given clean and spiritual lyrics in a tightly performed and fun packaging. Their
sophomore release showed an edgier and more mainstream-friendly approach, but the 'little rock foursome that could'
is just one of those bands that we can't help but watch closely with each release. And this one seems like a healthy
mix of both previous efforts...
