For our 9th annual Highlighting feature, we split the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and July to December. Each list contains 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in total for 2015. So, without further ado, we give you Highlighting Second-Half 2015! -- Please keep in mind that any artists that placed in the First Half (like TobyMac, Pillar and winner Paper Route) won't be re-listed here!

Album Cover
#10. Owl City
Mobile Orchestra

Release Date: July 10, 2015
There's so much about Mobile Orchestra that I like. Adam Young's infectious optimism is still a staple, the synthpop approach this time is legitimately fun and varied, and the guest spots (hello Hanson!) give the record more dimension. Some tracks are far stronger than others, but it's safe to say that Owl City is already a major summer highlight.
        - Roger Gelwicks

Despite my distaste for Owl City's previous studio release, I couldn't help but be excited for the next one. As good as Adam Young is at making music, the chances of creating two bad albums back-to-back is slim. And Mobile Orchestra is not a bad album. It has a few weak spots, but it has a lot more shining moments, and I was relieved when I got the chance to listen to it. Of course, this album is already available as this whole thing is published, but even if it wasn't, and I hadn't already heard it, I'd still be looking forward to it.
        - Scott Fryberger

I was probably one of the few who weren't captivated by Ocean Eyes, but All Things Bright and Beautiful did win me over. I have to side with Scott that Midsummer... was underwhelming, as well as some of his latest, Mobile Orchestra, but it's still an album that has me spinning the majority of it with great enjoyment.
        - John DiBiase

Having already been released, my thoughts are summed up well in my 2-cents review...
        - Mark Rice

This is one of my daughter's favorite artists, and Owl City's mixture of dance music and pop is augmented here with a bold, spiritual focus that is welcome. The minivan stereo is calling…
