#4. Family Force 5
untitled
Release Date: Late 2016

Well, the worst is behind them. with 2014's Time Stands Still, Family Force 5 sucessfully navigated the trecheous waters of a vocalist change and came out just as strong on the other end. Now that Crouton has been established as the band's new frontman, what's next? I'm excited to see!

Time Stands Still proved that a Soul-Glow-Activatur-less FF5 still knows how to produce fun music. The new worshipful direction on Time Stands Still was an interesting surprise, but it made for a slightly jarring listening experience in conjunction with their crunk tunes. Hopefully these Kountry Gentlemen are more comfortable with their refined identity and can bring us the goods once again.

Although they lost a little of what made them so fun with Soli's departure, Time Stands Still was still a pretty solid album a bit of a return to form for the band. After ridiculously fun songs like "Raised By Wolves" and "Jet Pack Kicks" and last year's one-off "Hold Your Hand," I'm very interested to see where the fivesome go next.
