#5. Thousand Foot Krutch
Oxygen: Exhale
Release Date: Sometime 2016
|
TFK's independent career has been hit and miss for many fans, including myself. The first of their two-part album series, Oxygen: Inhale, was quite the unfortunate let down, due in part to its more mundane approach. The first single for Exhale, however, promises a return to a heavier sound for the kings of rawk, and I can't wait to hear more.

A little rock here, a little rap there, toss in a little hair metal, and you can sign me up! One of my all time favorite bands are back at it and I am super stoked to see what Trevor and the boys bring this year.

You know more or less what to expect from Thousand Foot Krutch: fist pumping rock anthems, emotionally charged ballads, and a lot of rhyming. And it's all really, really good. Phenomenon has always been an absolute must for long car drives for me and Welcome To The Masquerade is such a well-rounded rock album. Their most recent effort, Oxygen: Inhale, was less than stellar, but even still, I'm excited and ready to throw up my rawk fist to some new TFK tunes.

TFK hasn't really been on top of their game lately, but I have faith that Trevor McNevan and company can rebound with an album on par with Welcome to the Masquerade. I'm looking forward to what the Canadian rockers have in store next as they continue with their third independent release.

Thousand Foot Krutch have come a long way from their nu-metal origins, and they never fail to bring both the creativity and the energy in everything they do. (On a side note, they are my band of choice to play on the kitchen stereo when it comes my turn to do the dishes in my house.)

The Inhale may have been a bit underwhelming, but I'm still stoked for the Exhale!
