Darling, I want to do what's right
I'm laying here watching you sleep at night
I understand what you're going through
But I want to know if you feel it too
Cause I still love you

The awesome power of love, and the life it makes
I've been nothing but blessed for goodness sakes, and I still love you
And I'm nervous too, and it causes pain
I feel like the sky right before it rains, cause I still love you

You sleep by me, the sheet shows your form
The night is cold, how I wish it was warm
And I wait by you , as the cycle turns
Just know it's for you, for which my heart burns

The awesome power of love, and the life it makes
I've been nothing but blessed for goodness sakes, and I still love you
And I'm nervous too, and it causes pain
I feel like the sky right before it rains, cause I still love you

Behind the Song:
(Background: Without the backstory, this song could also sound secular, however, it is about natural family planning. The difficulty of NFP is obviously the times when a married couple has to refrain. I'm not aware of any other songs that deal with this. There is nothing promiscuous in this song, this is a married man in love with his wife, but has to wait. He understands the life giving love, and knows his wife is not ready to have a child again at this time)
