I tried to bring her back to reality, but she just looked at me scowled

She’ll get an M.Div. and call herself blessed.

Place visions higher than the Words of Christ
Cuz it doesn’t coincide what’s deep inside her heart

I went down to seminary and I can tell you this
Mention Romans 9 you might hear a little hiss
Cuz every time I opened my mouth they wanted to shut me down
To cross my will to prove their will isn’t the will of God
Looking back I’m startin’ to see that things are pretty bleak
Cuz 95% of these students shouldn’t even preach
Cuz jealousy and bitterness are always rampant there
And the Word of God is trampled for the sake of their careers.
