She’d told me she felt led to go into some kind of ministry
And I asked her politely, “What kind of ministry?”

And that’s when I found out the Lord didn’t tell her anything
I tried to bring her back to reality, but she just looked at me scowled

She’ll go to seminary, get that MRS.
She’ll get an M.Div. and call herself blessed.
Take a job meant for man and preach to the choir
Place visions higher than the Words of Christ
Cuz it doesn’t coincide what’s deep inside her heart
She’ll fashion her idol and claim that it is God.
I went down to seminary and I can tell you this
Mention Romans 9 you might hear a little hiss
Cuz every time I opened my mouth they wanted to shut me down
To cross my will to prove their will isn’t the will of God
Looking back I’m startin’ to see that things are pretty bleak
Cuz 95% of these students shouldn’t even preach
Cuz jealousy and bitterness are always rampant there
And the Word of God is trampled for the sake of their careers.
So I told my baby to pack her things, we’re leaving tonight

But she didn’t listen or submit, she turned herself around
She walked right back into that city burning to the ground
“I’m sorry to interrupt you, I just had a revelation
I think all these women should start leading congregations

I’ll just keep preaching, teaching until I suck up all the air!”
