It’s been so cold I can see my breath / Feeling like winter inside my chest / And I hope
that I can make it through today / It gets so easy to just forget / The troubles that You brought me
through and yet / I find it so hard to trust that You will stay / I need to, I need to remember // You’re
faithful / Even when I fall down, even when I go south / You will always be / Faithful / And I need You
now, oh, I need You now / Every part of me / You’re faithful // What if I choose to just let go / And
let You take full control / What if I finally trust that Your love remains / Sometimes I feel like I’m
way over my head, and I lose You / But I’m going to do whatever it takes to stay / Faithful

Behind the Song:"It’s about the reality of God: He’s faithful regardless of how unfaithful we are. The verses are metaphorical:
“It’s been so cold I can see my breath / It’s feeling like winter inside my chest.” There’s something that
comes along with winter that kind of feels like death. Plants die and get glazed with cold, icy snow. Rivers
and lakes freeze. Life kind of ceases, kind of like our own lives sometimes. When life freezes and it feels like
death has come upon us, it’s easy to forget God’s faithfulness, to forget all the troubles that He’s brought us
through. My parents were never in my life growing up, so I’ve always struggled with a staying God. The
thought of a father that stays with me is hard for my mind to wrap around. It’s a huge struggle for me to trust
that there is a Father who cares about me, who’ll never leave me. This song is a reminder that I need to
remember that He’s faithful, even when I’m not." - Shawn
