I feel like I’m caught in the middle of a hurricane / Standing in the eye of a storm / The
water ’s deepening, and the waves are crashing in / And I am losing; I am losing my way home // But I
will not fear / When the storms of life appear / ‘Cause You’re holding me, holding me tight / You’re
keeping me alive / When the storms of life arise / And You’re helping me, helping me to fight / Thorough
the night / Oh, oh, oh, oh // When Life is not what I thought that it would be / The pain is sometimes
more than I can stand / And I have had to learn a lot the hard way / But I’m trusting that my life is in
Your hands // But I will not fear / When the storms of life appear / ‘Cause You’re holding me, holding
me tight / You’re keeping me alive / When the storms of life arise / And You’re helping me, helping me
to fight / To fight / And You’re holding me, holding me / And You’re finding me, finding me / And You’re
guiding me, guiding me / Through the night

Behind the Song:"This is just my way of telling a story, but in a way that it can impact someone else’s story too. It opens with
this lyric: “I feel like I’m caught in the middle of a hurricane / Standing in the eye of the storm.” I don’t say
what my hurricane is, because I want the words to impact listeners where they are, and not be specific just
to my situation. I’m always asking, “How can this song impact people?” I was thinking about my own storm
when I wrote this song, but I was thinking about the storms that other people go through too." - Shawn
