currents sweep above and beside me. i feel them rise up inside me. new life has begun. wading in the wake of my worst crimes. i’m awake for the first time. though i’m finally at rest. waiting in the wake of Your pardon. back again to the Garden i was meant to possess. closer to the heart of the mystery. to the cradle of history. to the wellspring of life. closure on this world of pretense. here my real world begins. and at last I’m alive.
