I only wanna stand up, move on
Stand up and know
I’m redeemed
One last time is one more lie that I tell myself
As I’m giving in
I can feel the shame from these broken claims
God forgive me for pushing you aside
Speak to me now
Bring me home
Speak to me now
I only wanna stand up, move on
Stand up and know
I’m redeemed
One last try is all I’ve got left inside of me
Without you by my side
I have tried in vein to hold fast my claims
God forgive me for pushing you aside
Sweet Redeemer
Sweet Redeemer
Speak to me speak to me
Sweet Redeemer
Behind the Song:"We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory, and, unfortunately, most everyone has a particular vice that they are continually struggling with to overcome. No one, even Christians in positions of admiration and authority, are immune to this problem. Out of guilt many of us usually tell God, after having just pushed him aside, "This will be the last time” I do this or that sin. Though we might mean it at the time, we often end up falling back into that same sin over and over again because we are not strong enough in and of ourselves to conquer it. Realizing that we are caught in this vicious circle can leave us feeling shame and that we aren't good enough in God's eyes. "Sweet Redeemer," then, was written as a cry out to God to acknowledge that overcoming these struggles is impossible without him. Be comforted in knowing that God hears your cries and that he'll never give up on you." - High Flight Society
