Nashville, TN… March 4, 2011… GRAMMY ® nominated rock band Decyfer Down joins forces for the first time with Brian “Head” Welch, known as the former lead guitarist and co-founder of the multi-platinum metal band KoRn, as they co-headline the Over My Head Tour. Presented by the Mocha Club and Hard Music Magazine, the tour is set to launch this spring.

Slated to open the rock show for all of the show dates are Tooth & Nails’ The Letter Black and emerging band The Wedding. The Over My Head Tour kicks off March 25 in Greenville, SC and continues through to April 23, wrapping up in Kansas City, MO. (see full list of tour dates below).

"We are very excited to partner with such great bands to bring an awesome rock show and hopefully a life changing experience to many people this tour,” says Josh Oliver, drummer for Decyer Down. “Can't wait to see all the fans there!"

Head shares the excitement saying, “My band and I are itching to get on the road again since our tour with Red last fall. We're so stoked to play a full tour with our friends from Decyfer Down, The Letter Black and The Wedding. This is our guarantee to all fans who come to see the tour - you will be completely satisfied!"

KoRn, Brian “Head” Welch rocked the music world by announcing his resignation from the metal band. At the time, Head was committed to moving away from the crazy KoRn life to continue to care for his daughter Jennea, as a single father. Additionally, Head committed his life to Christ with the goal of touching people’s lives and giving back to those most in need. Since his spiritual transformation, Head is the author of three books, one of which, Save Me From Myself, made the New York Times Best-Sellers List. In 2008 Head released his first record as a solo artist also titled Save Me From Myself, and the record debuted at No.13 on Billboard’s Hard Rock charts and industry experts have repeatedly described the project as a “pick hit,” with consistent 4+ Stars reviews. This past year was Heads return to touring sharing the stage with major acts including Blindside and Flyleaf. He also speaks at various events around the country sharing his testimony and more. Head has also made numerous television appearances since his solo debut including “L.A. Ink,” “VH-1’s Top 100 Rock Songs,” “Huckabee” just to name a few. Decyfer Down will be entertaining the crowd singing songs off their GRAMMY ® nominated sophomore release CRASH, which debuted at No. 3 on Christian Soundscan charts while topping iTunes ® Christian Chart at No. 1. Produced by Paul Ebersold (3 Doors Down, Saliva, Sister Hazel, Skillet) the band has three No. 1 singles on Christian Rock Radio: “Crash,” “Fading”and “Desperate” to their name and their title-track was featured on WWE’s Hardy History Montage a Brother vs. Brother WrestleMania preview. Fans were introduced to Decyfer Down in 2006 with their debut album, End of Grey, which garnered four No.1 hits and had a top 10 song at WARQ in Columbia, SC, a mainstream Alternative Rock station. “Fight Like This” was also the band’s fourth consecutive No.1 Christian Rock single, and was heard by millions in a special promo promoting an Ultimate Fighting Championship title fight. Also from their debut album, “Break Free” was played during some of the most watched sports games of the year and heard by over 9 million sports fanatics through website and television views. The rock band has found itself playing with mainstream rockers like Skillet, Cold, Puddle of Mudd, Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Dead Man, Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red and now Brian “Head” Welch.
