Bombs Over Broadway came out in late summer of the year 2000, and was riding its popularity into the year 2001 - the year the World Trade Center was attacked. The biggest tragedy was obviously the unfathomable loss of life that occurred in that single day, but this event also left Tooth & Nail scrambling to find something to do to fix the artwork of Squad Five-O's new album. Of course, no one could have predicted the events of September 11, 2001, especially a relatively obscure punk band on an independent rock label, but they had to do something to essentially retcon a big aspect of their album. Could this unfortunate circumstance have negatively affected sales or the band's fanbase? I'm not really sure, but Bombs Over Broadway is a stellar album that probably deserves more recognition, with tasty punk rock jams like "Bombs Over Broadway," "Apocalypse Now," "Restless Youth," and "They'll Never Take Me."
