After releasing multiple albums with the thrash/metal band The Crucified, lead singer Mark Salomon joined forces with former members of The Blamed and Focused to form the supergroup Stavesacre, which is one of the most notable icons on the Tooth & Nail label. Friction opened up a whole new realm with the introduction of Mark's vocals like we'd never heard before, with melody, screaming, and notes that could be held long enough to break a compact disc's case. Songs like "Threshold" and "At the Moment" stand the test of time. Songs like "Stars & Clouds" and "Burning Clean" provide the perfect balance of alternative and hard rock. Many artists have been compared to Stavesacre, but, in all honesty, Stavesacre is truly a one-of-a-kind band. Friction is a good place to start discovering them.
