For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we've done things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we've split the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and June to December. Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012.
We've already selected the first fifteen artists, so please click here to check those out. Without further ado, we give you Highlighting Second-Half 2012!

untitled
Release Date: November 6, 2012

"Supertones strike back! Like Leia's father, you hit we hit back harder..." Ahh, I just can't wait for this. There are few bands who do ska well. This is one of them. This will surely be a much welcomed return...

While some of us may be anticipating the return of the O.C. Supertones for mere nostalgic reasons, it's undeniable that these guys had a real firm handle on how to create catchy pop/rock/ska hybrid songs. I'm eager to see what the return of the O.C. Supertones could spawn.

It was a sad sad day when the Supertones called it quits. It was equally as exciting when they announced their return with most of the original line-up. Anyone who was a fan of Mojo and his Orange County crew back in the day can't wait for this one. If you are a newer listener, this ska band knows how to bring excellent music coupled with an even better message. Welcome back, O.C. Supertones!
