Album Cover
#8. John Mark McMillan
Borderland

Release Date: March 4, 2014
It seems like forever ago that John Mark McMillan parted ways with Integrity and drummed up the support via Kickstarter to release his newest record. There's a lot to love about his gritty take on worship music. The infectious quality of debut single "Future / Past" indicates good things to come.

Having heard the album, all I can say is this; be VERY excited!
        - Mark Rice

I'm still in the beginning stages of listening to Borderland, and I'm honestly not sure what to make of it this early on. It's thoroughly a John Mark McMillan album, as singles like "Future / Past" feature the rustic and refined combination that he distinctly owns, but the album's methods culminate with some mixed results. I'll be interested to see how my opinion of the album evolves by release day...
        - Roger Gelwicks

JMM has intrigued me since someone sent me that iconic video of his passionate live performance of "How He Loves," preceded by the song's extraordinary backstory. The lead single off this new project, which debuted at #2 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Song chart, portends more intelligent, soulful music that enlightens the relationship between worshiper and Savior.
        - Mark Geil
