#5. Emery
You Were Never Alone

Release Date: Sometime 2015
Emery has solidified their place as my all-time favorite band, with emotionally gripping lyrics blended perfectly with heavy rock tunes. I am so stoked to hear this year's album.
        - Kevin Hoskins

Not too much has changed since we last wrote about this album in 2014. Emery is taking their sweet time with You Were Never Alone, but we're ready to get the party started. It'll be a provocative release in unpredictable ways, so we wait in earnest for this one.
        - Roger Gelwicks

It's no secret that Emery (mainly Toby and Matt) have stirred up some controversy amongst some with their Bad Christian movement. The release of You Were Never Alone has been dragged out a bit, but it promises to be another outstanding record from a group of extremely talented guys. Only time will tell if this will just be another Emery album or if the Bad Christian controversy will leak into the recordings. I'm personally really looking forward to hearing what they have in store.
        - Michael Weaver

I'll admit, I'm often put off by the way BadChristian presents itself sometimes. However, I know that at the heart of it all lies Jesus, so I have high hopes for You Were Never Alone. Emery has never let me down in the past, and I don't anticipate that happening anytime soon either.
        - Scott Fryberger

The guys of Emery have been busy. REALLY busy. Since the release of their last full-length album, they've started their own record label, launched a highly successful podcast and released two books. Not bad, right? No one really knows how they found time to write You Were Never Alone, but it doesn't matter. It's finally coming out this year.
        - John "Flip" Choquette

Emery never fails to impress this reviewer. They provide the perfect balance of clean melodic vocals and the screaming vocals during the more intense portion of the songs. Making this their 6th release, it's one of the most anticipated albums since it's the longest gap we've had with releases from them, and it's also independent.
        - Wayne Myatt
