#4. Children 18:3
untitled
Release Date: Sometime 2015
 |
Children 18:3 is a group I've never been in love with, but always really liked. It's sad to hear the group is disbanding, but it's pretty exciting to get some new material from them. Announcing an album as your last before it releases leads to a lot of hype, anticipation, and lofty expectations. Hopeful the Children can live up to it all and release their best album yet.

We went all of 2014 without Children 18:3's fourth and final album, but with the band's promise that it is now being mastered, we're on the homestretch to hear some punk rock goodness quite soon. In more good news, the Hostetters have said they're not done with music after C18:3 disbands, so look out for more great material from the siblings in the future, even if this album is Children 18:3's last.

A lot of the best bands around right now are experimenting with their music in order to stay either relevant or fresh (or both). Children 18:3 does do some experimenting in some small ways, but they mostly just provide excellent, straightforward punk rock. I'm looking forward to a bittersweet farewell to this trio.

This trio sure is taking their sweet time to release the final album from Children 18:3, and while I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, it will certainly be tough to say a final goodbye to these guys...
