Behind the Song:
I’ll never forget where the inspiration for “Obsessed” came from. My little sister and I were grocery shopping one day and as we came to the checkout line in the store, she and I both couldn’t help but notice the “women’s magazines” at the counter. You know, the countless magazines with cover stories like “Bust Your Fat in 10 Days,” or “Be More, Weigh Less.” Anyways, as I stepped forward in line to pay, my 8 year old sister stood still with a puzzled look on her face and I heard her ask, “Steven, do you think I need to go on a diet?” My hear instantly sank.
