Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name
Blessed be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing you pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing you pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord Blessed be your name

Behind the Song:"The song speaks about the exact things I feel right now in my Christian walk: a desire and choice to worship God no matter my circumstances. I have been friends with Matt Redman since mid-1997 when I met him in England, and in early 1998 he asked me to play guitar on his Intimacy record. During the making of The Life & Times, Tree63 played a few shows in England, and I was given a copy of Matt Redman's latest CD, featuring "Blessed Be Your Name.” That particular album meant a lot to me, so it was an easy decision to record a new version of "Blessed.” It felt like the right thing for a number of reasons – our long friendship with Matt, our love of his music and our love of this song." - John Ellis (
